His wife is the former Annie Shei The Clark's also operate a general store in the district. They have sons and one daughter: Brian, Randy and Constance. A son and daug died in infancy. Brian is presently manager of the Carleton Esso Sei Station. He was born September 25, 1948, and is married to Dianne The couple live in Borden and have a daughter, Kimberley. Randy, younger son, was born September 23, 1965. Constance was born Decei 7, 1944. After completing public school, she attended the Baptist ] Training School in Moncton, and later took a secretarial course in J merside. At the age of sixteen after successfuly writing civil sej exams, she was employed in Ottawa for a time. She married Darrell in 1967 and they operated a restaurant in Tryon for a few years. r are now residing in Augustine Cove . Velda married Harry Ferguson of Hampton. Their family is Wentf" Alan, Wayne and Darrin. Velda was born June 24, 1934. fe Ruby, born July 21, 1937 is married to Wilfred Rogers and the live in Augustine Cove . They have three sons: Kevin , Kenneth and Kei Ray, who was born May 6, 1932, was a painter in partnership m: his father for many years, until ill health forced him to retire. He ;hfl operated a grocery store in the district until his death on August 16, 197M on THE DARBY 'S Ernest Darby worked for M. F. Schurman Co . for thirty-six jea: and when he retired in 1968 he was building superintendent. At that tiifl he and his wife, the former Mae Wood , came to Augustine Cove to spoil their retirement years. They bought the Heber Sherren property i'ro™ Gerald Murray , who owned it at the time. The Darby's have two sons: Donald and David. Donald and $\ wife, the former Maryena Currie, and two daughters, Cathy and KarM live in St. John, New Brunswick . David married Susanne Notting al | they live in Sherwood . They have four daughters: Kathy, Elizabet Jennifer and Joanne. THE DAWSONS Colonel Thomas Dawson migrated with his wife and six childtf to Prince Edward Island from County Monoghan, Ireland in the year 180me He acquired six hundred acres of land near Mt. Stewart, calling the siift "Dawson's Grove". On his farm at Dawson's Grove two more child«c| were born, making the number of children in all, eight. Colonel Daw %as' was an ardent Methodist lay preacher, and went about this Island on fof and horseback, carrying the "Gospel of Good News" to nearly every P of the Island. The hardships he endured in his travels—fording streaii^h* and making his way through unbroken forests, shortened his days. BMar. died at the age of forty-two. He had spent most of his life, before comin , to this Island, in the army, and was sick of the cruelities and slaughV of war.
