She married Wil- lI1! lian Burke and they lived in Augustine Cove where their five children *>' wer born: Hazel, who died at age of one year, Bessie, Catherine, Shirley t; and arl. Bessie, who was born on January 21st, 1933 became the wife f° of f red Paynter of Carleton. The Paynters have five children, Gertrude 11 ( Mr Keir Compton , Alan, Marion, Sandra, Walter. Catherine, who is Jninow Irs. Keith Adams of Seaview was born July 6, 1934. To them were ■r six children: Alice ( Mrs. Robert Dickieson ), Marlene, Margaret, Set Jim y, Kevin . One daughter, Patsy, was drowned in 1969 at the age of eigh years. Shirley lives in North Carleton . She is married to Claude Stewart and o them were born five children. Eric, Robert, Wilma, Carl. A son, 3we , was accidentally killed in 1970 at three years of age. Shirley was born October 6, 1936. Earl was born April 12, 1938. He is now living in Ontario and has £ hildren: Kevin and Tara Lynn. Following the death of their mother Bessie stayed for several years ivith Mr. and Mrs. Lester MacWilliams . Catherine was adopted by Mr. and Irs. Frank Murphy ; while Shirley and Earl were adopted by Mr. and rs. Harry Dawson . As mentioned in the first part of the Thomas history; Samuel la: Choi is married Elizabeth Lefurgey . Two daughters, Elizabeth ( Mrs. Sydney Taylor of Win- and Christina ( Mrs. James Todd of Rose Valley ) have resided on . Colin also lived in the United States and had a family of five: "fh Gladys, Lillian, Alice and Gordon. ,vn- •f THE THOMPSONS Charles Thompson , one of the early Thompson settlers, came to ' Justine Cove probably in the early 1800's. He settled on the farm now Red by Fraser Thompson . About 1850, Charles gave the farm to his Hubert, who sold it to Dixon Baker about 1900. Baker only had the Q a few years when it was bought by Philip Leard . He did not live .T as his farm and residence were near the Inman farm. In 1908 John, ^•/hompson bought it and he and his wife, the former Mayburn Mullins Jiampton established a home there.
