Robertson 1970 BELMONT WOMEN 'S MISSIONARY SOCIETY The first Womens Missionary Society of the Belmont Baptist Church was organized by A. A. Wadman , Provincial Secretary of the P.E.I. Baptist Association on April 29, 1911. The following were the first officers elected: President - Mrs. Judson Simpson Vice-President - Mrs. Hubert Crossman Secretary - Campsie MacLaurin Treasurer - Laura Fraser Auditor - Mrs. Matthew Gamble Agent for Tidings - Hazel MacLaurin Executive Committee - Mrs. Samuel Simpson - Mrs. Mary Birch Some time after 1916 the Society disbanded but was re-organized in October, 1929, with Mrs. Judson Simpson as President and Mrs. John Barrett , Secretary-Treasurer. This Society has remained active through the intervening years and has raised a considerable amount of money for Foreign and Home Missions. At the present time the Society has nine members with Mrs. A. S. Johnson as President and Mrs. Budd Birch, Secretary - Treasurer .
