BELMONT WCNEN’S INSTITUTE
The Belmont Women's Institute was organized on June 17, l93l at a meeting held in Belmont School. This meeting was led by Miss. Marion Hardy, our local school teacher, with an attendance of six ladies present. The following officers were elected:

During World War ll we gave of our time and money in the work of the Red Cross, sewing and khitting, packing gift parcels for our boys. We alsO sent food parcels to our less fortunate sister institute members in England. At the end of the WaT the members continued knitting and sewing for the Red Cross Society and are still doing the same.
