There‘s Ena J. Birch our Press Secretary
Who writes the reports for the newspapers to carry. They show to the world very clearly indeed
To how great an extent the ladies succeed.
Our directors three guard this Ship of State, Leading us on toward the narrow gate.
With Doris and Alice and Thelma to say
We will most surely enter the strait narrow way.
Erma, the Friendship Secretary, remembers the lonely, When at times their strength seems weakened and lowly. And Evelyn on whom the Red Cross relies
To supply each with sewing or knitting supplies.
Next, Maisie and Geraldine of the hard-working cast Have given their help from the first to the last.
And Ruby, the one always ready to help,
If her ideas are too Liberal, we just quietly consent.
Some new members have joined our group as of late We welcome them all, and all they may make. There's Mrs. Toni Feehan and Mrs. Mae Clarke
Two willing workers, right from the start.
At the end of the year we must meet the test
0f having our books audited and hope for the best. With Lily and Minnie our two auditors now,
l know they'll deal kindly and we'll slip by somehow.
Many others live elsewhere, whose names graced our list;
We think of them now, realizing how they are missed.
Some have passed over to that Heavenly side
And we honor them here with affection and pride.
One last thought -- keep moving on
T0 greater deeds -- as yet unsolved
50 that our friends of us may say,
Wé thank Our Father they walked this may.
