John MacLeod bought this farm from Mr. Fraser in the early l900's. Mr. MacLeod married the former Louisa Ryder and they had a family of seven, Oliver, Major (deceased), Wilfred, Johnnie, Norman, Lena and Levina (deceased).

John MacLeod sold his farm to his son Norman in 1958. Norman married the former Lillian Pye and they have a family of three boys Allan, Austin, and David. The main part of this house is ninety years old.

ROBERT 8. JAMES MAC LAURIN

In the 1880's, John Gamble came to this farm from Gamble's Corner. He had it only a short time when he sold it to Frank Simmons who also came from Gamble's Corner with his wife and large family. His daughter Libby married Caleb Lea and they lived there and farmed for several years.

in the early 1900's it was sold to Lewis Yeo, and after his death it went to his son Thomas Yeo, who married Morey MacVittie, and had a daughter Alice (Mrs. Ed Patterson), now residing in Ontario. After Thomas left the farm it was operated for a time by Leigh Mountain. In 1936, the present owner Robert MacLaurin bought it, who with his son James, carries on farming oper- ations, specializing in registered Hereford cattle.

Robert married Marian Ramsay, they have a family of five ~ Phyllis, who married Russell Anderson and has a son David. Campsie who married Roger MacLean and has three daughters, Suzanne, Heather and Vivian and a son Rodney. Vivian, who married Herman Barrett and has a family of four, Irwin, April, Herman and Faith. Mary, who married Ralph Maclnnis and has two sons Robert and Gregory and a daughter Sandra. James, who married Grace Lyle and has one son Kent, and three daughters Joan, Jane and Anne.
