Thanks to such grand old athletic clubs as the Abegweits, the Vic— torias, the Connaughts, etc., outstanding athletes and sportsmen of all kinds and later private citizens who have established commercial sport and entertainment centers, local citizens or visitors to Charlottetown can now enjoy all of the popular forms of sport or entertainment in modern establishments which provide the latest and best of facilities for partici— pants or spectators: Skating, hockey, curling, badminton, volleyball, basketball, bowling, indoor shooting, skeet shooting, baseball, softball, track and field events, harness racing, stock-car racing, rifle shooting, upland game and other shooting, fishing, golf, tennis, boating, shooting, quoits, horseshoe tossing, and rugby are all played during the year in the city of Charlottetown.
