In October 1919 the late P. J. MacDonald purchased the building on the corner of Kent and Prince Streets in this city, and opened a grocery store. A few years later he enlarged the floor space and added a meat and fish department.

In 1945 he retired after 26 years of successful business with the people of this province.

This old established stand is now being managed by his two sons Earle and Elmer under the name of P. J .’s Ltd.

We are very pleased to have this opportunity in this our city’s Centennial Year to add our congratulations to a city that has improved and developed so much in the past 100 years.
