^A Privilege . : \ to have shared in CHARLOTTETOWNS CENTURY OF PROGRESS THE BNS has served the citizens of Charlottetown since June 1882, when the branch opened in The Bank of Prince Edward Island building. About seven years later we moved to the premises of the old Union Bank at Great George & Richmond Streets. Since 1920 we've continued to serve you in the building at the corner of Great George & Grafton Streets. Our roots are in the Maritimes; Prince Edward Islanders fostered our growth. Mr. J. A. McLeod , born at Park Corner in 1868, guided the bank through the troubled times in the early 1930's as general manager and president. In 1882, Mr. H. C. McLeod , a P. E. I . banker, joined the BNS and, fifteen years later, inherited from the illustrious Mr. Thomas Fyshe the duties of cashier. Mr. H. A. Richardson , served as Char¬ lottetown manager at the end of the last century, rising to be¬ come a general manager . . . And there are many others who worked for and with us.
