The Charlottetown Ministerial Association is pleased to welcome to our province and city our many visitors. The various communions of the Christian Church have made a vital contribution in establishing and maintaining the moral and spiritual life of Charlottetown during its first century. As we welcome our visitors during this Cen¬ tennial Year, we invite them to visit the several churches and to enter into the fellowship of worship. The services exemplify the Canadian traditions of worship and are an expression of our community's spiritual faith. REV. J. H. BISHOP , President Charlottetown Ministerial Association. The passing of the one hundredth milestone in the life of any city is an event well worth celebrating in a world in which survival is supposed to signify fitness. During the pass¬ ing years, the Churches of Charlottetown have played an im¬ portant role in its development, both social and cultural. They have touched the city's expanding life at every turn and have felt the throb of its joys and sorrows. Four of the oldest churches in Charlottetown are presented in this Booklet as a tribute to their contribution in the past to the communal life of the City. ) One hundred years have passed since Charlottetown first became a City, and, we all rejoice over its accom¬ plishments during that time. May the ever-growing spirit of ever-increasing broad- mindedness, mutual understanding of one another's prob¬ lems, and, co-operation, on the part of all citizens, which has characterised the first century of the City's existence, continue at an even greater pace, and blossom forth into a glowing example of unity, harmony, and achievement, through the efforts of all men of goodwill and sincerity. M. A. MacEACHERN , Bishop of Charlottetown .
