At the close of the evening exeminetion in the hall, Robert ,Longworth, Esq. was called to the choir, who, after a few appropriate :remarks, invited gentlemen present who might feel so disposed to Vaddress the audience. Rev. Mr. Taylor wes the first to respond fand expressed himSelf highly pleased with the whole proceedings. IHCU. J. Longworth spoke of the very great success which attended ;thc institution, and the able end’efficient manner in which it .was conducted. W. Heard, Esquire, alluded to the services so ,reCnerously imparted by the Rev. Archdeacon Reed and Dr. Leeming, FUhom the committee named as examiners, with the view of causing {the examination to be as thorough and seorching as possible. He peoncluded his remarks by moving a vote of thanks to those gentlemen :fo their valuable services, seconded by Thomas Dodd, Esquire, 51nd carried by acclanation.‘ The proceedings of the day were then Eclosed by singing "God Save the Queen'."
