Bruce Somers

MacLean line, Graham’s Road, to the old Princetown Road. Wil- liam Cameron bought an acre of this farm which is known as the . Bruce Somers Acre, situated west of where James MacKay now - lives. Bruce Somers bought this acre from William Cameron. The house on this plot was burned in the 1920’s. Bruce was the son of James Somers and Ellen (Graham) Somers. He married Nettie Cole, Springbrook. He was a butcher and laborer. They had the following family: James, Lila, Nina, Elton, Hazel, Everett, Ivan, Jean and Rita.

James, born 1905, married Una Ferrish. They had one daugh- ter. Later, he married Mrs. Fred Howard. They live in Traveller’s Rest.

:1 Lila, born 1907, married Elwood McEachern, St. Eleanors. 1. They had three children. She is a Widow.

Nina, born 1909, married Earl Maynard, Summerside. They had two children.

Elton, born 1912, married Isabel Cummings, Bradalbane. They * had three children.

Hazel, born 1916, married Allison MacLeod, Charlottetown. They had two children.

, Everett, born 1919, married Clara MacEwen, Charlottetown. , They have three children.

Ivan, born 1922, married Elmira Morrison, Charlottetown. They have eight children.

: Jean, born 1924, married Joseph Raynor, Montreal. They have . two children.

Rita, born 1926, married Sterling Nicholson, Bradalbane. They have seven children.

Mrs. Bruce Somers is living in Summerside in her 87th year

John Dunning

John Dunning, 1855-1942, was the son of David Dunning, . 1820-1874, and Cerena (Taylor) Dunning, 1833-1884. They lived on a half acre of land now owned by George Pickering, situated between the old blacksmith shop and the Creek. He married Eliza- beth Qhappiell, 1863-1913, Granville, in the 1880’s. They had the
