Bruce Somers The James Somers farm comprised land extending from the MacLean line, Graham's Road, to the old Wil ¬ liam Cameron bought an acre of this farm which is known as the Bruce Somers Acre, situated west of where James MacKay now lives. Bruce Somers bought this acre from William Cameron The House on this plot was burned in the 1920's. Bruce was the son of James Somers and Ellen (Graham) Somers. He married Nettie Cole, Springbrook . He was a butcher and laborer. They had the following family: James, Lila, Nina, Elton, Hazel, Everett, Ivan Jean and Rita. James, born 1905, married Una Ferrish . They had one daugh¬ ter. Later, he married Mrs. Fred Howard . They live in Traveller's Rest. Lila, born 1907, married Elwood McEachern , Iney had three children. She is a widow. Nina, born 1909, married Earl Maynard , Summerside . Thev had two children. Elton, born 1912, married Isabel Cummings , Bradalbane. Thev had three children. Hazel, born 1916, married Allison MacLeod , Charlottetown . Ihey had two children. Everett, born 1919, married Clara MacEwen , Charlottetown . iney have three children.
