In 1946 they sold this house to Frank Mayhew and he had it moved to Margate.
Cleveland, Laura and daughter Marion who had married Still- ley Parker while in Clinton moved to Hazel Grove in 1946, wh< re they bought a farm and continue to live. The Parkers had a son Kenneth while living in Clinton and two daughters after they moved. Cleve died in 1961. -

Albert Pickering, son of William Pickering and brother of (Stonehouse) James Pickering, built the house that now staids on Donald’s farm. It was built in the 1870’s and had a flat royi, Later, the pointed roof was added. The kitchen, etc., was built in
1898. James Pickering Jr.
James Pickering Jr., 1856-1928, son of David Pickering owed the land now occupied by Hillard Woodside. In the early 1880’s he purchased the Albert Pickering property. He married Janet Ha rd- ing, 1864—1946, Norboro. They had the following family: Cordella, Fannie, Quincy and Wilfred.
Cordella, born 1884, married Sterling MacKay, also of Clinian. in 1912. They had no family.
Fannie, 1887-1972, married Dr. Philip Jackson, Winnipeg, in 1910. They had a family of five.
Quincy, 1888-1905.
James Pickering built the barn now standing on this farn in 1917. Several additions have been made.
Wilfred Pickering
Wilfred Pickering, born 1898, married Nina Woodside, Lorn 1897, also of Clinton, in 1918. They had one son Ivan, born 1920 and two daughters: Elva, born 1919, and Leah, born 1933. ,
Wilfred took over his father’s farm in 1923 and his parents moved across the lane to a semi-bungalow, which they had bulIt that year.
Elva married Arthur Profitt, born 1919, Burlington. They W in Margate and have one son.
Leah married Fred Weeks, born 1932, Fredericton, PEA They live in Mississauga, Ontario and have three children.
In 1936, Wilfred purchased 50 acres of land from Louis 0’00“? nor, off the Norman Day farm. This includes all the land of th‘fF farm south of Harding’s Creek and extending to the Graham:
