Ivan Pickering

Ivan married Ruby Caseley, born 1924, Spring Valley. They ve three children: Donald, Garth and Gail.

Garth, born 1947, works in the Toronto area at drafting and l ractronics.

In 1948 Ivan took over his father’s farm and his parents oved to the house across the lane.

Farm Home of Mrs. James Graham and Laura Somers

James Harding occupied the farm bordering on the Glydon am, now owned by Donald Pickering. He was married to Mar- ret Somers who was a sister of George Somers who had emi- ated from Scotland. Mr. Harding’s health failed and he was an

, valid for years. He died in 1916. His wife had died in 1900 and r nephew Robert Somers, son of George Somers, took over the rm. He was married to Mary Ann Dunning and they had the ilowing family: George, William, Sarah, Mary Ann and Thomas.

1 Sarah died when quite young. Mary Ann married Dawson Cole, Black Horse, P.E.I.

Thomas married Martha Currie, Clifton and they lived in Ken- 1gton. Their son was killed in World War I. The house on this flperty is over a hundred years old but is not the original one, zuch still stands at the rear of the one now lived in.

Caroline lived only a short time _ 11d he re-married Edwina Durant, Margate. Later, they moved ; 0 New Brunswick.

, After Robert Somers’ wife died, he married Mary Ann Cook, Iaham’s Road, 1851-1942. They had two daughters: Margaret, , 01°11 1894, and Laura, born 1897.

Robert died in 1910. Margaret married James Graham see elsewhere.

Laura, who is unmarried, lives with her sister in this home.
