This farm land was purchased recently by Mr. DeSica, Louis- iana, U.S.A.

West of the farm home occupied by Mrs. Margaret Graham and Laura Somers and in the shore field owned by Donald Pivk- ering, lived Mr. and Mrs. Peter Murray. They had two chlldr I11 Kitty and Johnny. They moved to N..B and the house was le molished in the latter part of the 19th century.

John D. Smith

The farm east of where Mrs. Margaret Graham and La1 ra‘ Somers live was owned by John Harding, a brother of James Ha d ing William Cook farmed here later and when he died, John D. Smith, 1861—1937, bought it. He married Ida Farquharson, 1834- 1914, of Charlottetown. They had the following family: Vera. Austin, Fannie and Morley.

Vera and Austin are living in the U.S.A.

, Fannie married and is living in western Canada. Morley nar- ried a Miss Munn and they live in Charlottetown.

Fred Warren

In 1919 Fred Warren bought John D. Smith’s property fiom the Government of P.E.I. on his return from overseas. He farmed till 1966, when he sold to Alan Holman, who, a few years later. sold to Mr. DeSica who also purchased the farm west of this.

Fred moved a cottage from Long River to a lot opposite‘ Clinton Heights, had it re-modelled and he and his sister Jew? live there in retirement.

Farm where Glen Dunning Lives

West of the William Whitehead farm now occupied by lien! neth Heaney is the farm originally owned by John Dunning and his wife Elizabeth (Arthur) Dunning.

They had the following family: James, Samuel, John, Dan Ella, Jane, Andrew, Howard, and Emery who was drowned 0f Newfoundland.

James, 1868-1951, married Sophia Wood, 1873-1966. They had the following family: Harold, Blanche, Lorne, Hattie and Glen Two other children died in infancy.

James farmed his father’s farm and he and his family mOVel up from the shore in 1909 to where his son Glen now lives.

John, born 1882, lived with his brother James and helpel build the house on that property in 1909. He was a fishermém never married and died in 1965. ,
