Alexander B. McKay bought an adjoining farm in Graham’s

ad and moved to that district in 1904. His son William farmed

is farm till 1952. See Bruce Clark farm. 40 acres of this farm

Luated south of the New London Road were sold to Higgins Bros.

lexander B. McKay became Commissioner of Deeds in 1913. He

came known as Lawyer Alex, to distinguish him from the other ex who lived in the vicinity.

George MacKay

East of Bermac Farms is the property, settled and owned by

.i’ Porge MacKay, 1832—1908. He was married to Mary MacKay, ‘3 442-1913.

This farm extended from the South West River to land in the

( 'aham’s Road district. The buildings were situated near the

> ore of the South West River and the house still on this property

\ as built by Mr. MacKay. They had the following family: John

:nald, David, Hugh, George, William, Archibald, Flora, Jennie, wristy Anne, Mary Catherine, Carrie and Elizabeth (Lizzie).

David, a veteran of World War I, married and lived in Van- ' IlVeI'.

Hugh, 1882—1937, was a carpenter and unmarried. George, 1876—1906, was killed accidentally in Saskatoon. William married and had two children. They lived in Boston.

:] Flora married James Stewart, Kelvin Grove. They had one 'v tighter. Flora died in 1966.

Jennie, R.N., married J. W. Mott. They lived in the USA. Christy Anne married a Mr. Giben. They had no family.

Mary Catherine married Duncan Cole and they lived in Gra- xim’s Road. They had five children.

. Carrie married Herbert Bowness and they lived on the out- kirts of Kensington. They had eight children.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) married College Bowness and they lived in , Ensmgton. '
