Also included with the above farm is a stretch of land south 1 the Kerrytown Road. It was at one time owned by James Som- e s who was married to Mary Pickering in 1840. His son James 1: {er occupied this home and farm. He was married to Ellen Gra- }' 111. They had ten children: John, James E., Bruce, Annie Ethel, l ,rdia Margaret, Mary, Lizzie, Hartle, Walter and Cleveland.

Property Now Owned by Bertram MacKay

Alongside the John MacDonald farm which is now owned by E 1:0 Heaney is 42 acres, which in 1867 was in the name of Wil- 112.11 MacKay. Later, Mark Cole owned this land and sold it to Aux Nicholson, a blacksmith who was married to Janie Ferguson.

SMilford Glover, Norboro, purchased this land, and it is now owned by Bertram MacKay.

0n the property where Mr. MacKay resides at present, lived Hugh O’Connor 1n the 1880’s. He was a brother of John O’Connor Who lived alongside. He moved to Kensington, where he operated a hotel. The farm was sold to Duncan MacEwen and he built- the hOUSe that now stands there.

3311 W s Geordie MacKay. They had three daughters and two sons.
