Daniel Heaney emigrated from Acton, north of Ireland, in ' £40. His wife was a Miss Abbott who died in 1858. Three sisters ( .me out with him. Before leaving Ireland, he was a constable ; 1d came to St. Eleanors where he was a jailer for a year. He 1 :en moved to Clinton and took up residence on this property. ":iey had the following family: Robert, Thomas, Henry, Alice, i ora and Jacob.

Henry, 1834-1904, lived on this homestead till his death. Alice married a Mr. Champion.

Dora, 1830-1902, married a Mr. Fyfe.

Jacob diedat the age of 19.

Robert Heaney

R0bert,‘1840-1927, was a stone mason and a shoe—maker, as V as also his brother Thomas. They would go to homes in the S :rrounding area and make shoes for the entire family.

Robert was born at sea. He married Harriet Pickering, 1846- 1917. They had eleven children, one of whom died in infancy: J cob, Janie, Belinda, Gertrude, Annie, Laura, Alfred, William, E bta and Wesley.

E Jacob, 1867—1947, married Georgina Sutherland, 1866—1950, I Charlottetown. Jacob was a Methodist and later a United church Minister. He preached in Charlottetown, Cornwall and St. Ste- ? Mien, N.B., where he lived when he retired. They had two sons.

7 Janie married George Glover, Norboro. They had thirteen Children,

,. Belinda married John T. Dignan, Woodstock. They had four children. .

Gertrude married William MacLeod, Graham’s Road. They had seven children.

William died at the age of 17.

Annie married Frank Day, Norboro. They had nine children.

Laura married William Sharpe, Norboro. They had two sons. Alfred and Etta described elsewhere.
