While Miss Nicholson was President, the World Day of Prayer came into observance, and this society was happy to invite St. John’s W.A. to join with us. This custom has been carried on alternately ever since, and it is good to worship together in this service of prayer.
» The Ladies’ Aid of the Church is carried on in conjunction with the W.M.S., and has done much to help the Church and Parsonage.
Our W.M.‘S. has functioned continuously since its organizatiOn, and we bow in humble gratitude to those early members, whof‘carried through with zeal and courage.
Many of our present older members remember when Miss Anna Nicholson was with us —— how she lifted us above the petty cares of life on the Wings of prayer. Her eyes were without sight, but her soul saw all that was lovely and holy; and we left her, feeling like those, “who only touched the hem of His garment.”
The Coulthard Mission Band was formed in 1909, during the in- cumbency of Rev. W. A. Thomson, and through the initiative of Mrs.
Thomson, with a membership of 34. Miss Hazel Reid was the first Cor. Sec’y.
