FRANK S. MYERS
Warden of St. John’s Anglican Church, S.S. Superintendent, a member
of True Bros. Lodge, AF. and A.M.; a member of the Crapaud—Victoria Board of Trade, and other organizations.
During his term as member of the Provincial Government, he labored faithfully and impartially in the interests of his constituency, and of the Province as a whole, and has always been greatly respected by all classes of citizens.
He is married to the former Florence Profitt. They have two daughters: Jean (Mrs. Dean Proffit), and Frances (Mrs. Douglas Mac- Kinnon), and one son, Sheldon.

HON. MATTHEW SMITH
Hon. Matthew Smith was born in Crapaud, July 15, 1842, the son of George Smith and his wife Anna Wigginton, who were both natives of Yorkshire, England. They came to Crapaud with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Smith and Mr. and Mrs. George Wigginton, on the Valiant in 1817.
He married Miss Sarah Elizabeth Lea, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Lea of Tryon. They raised a family of eight children: two sons and five daughters are still living.
He was a progressive and up—to—date farmer, cultivating a two- hundred acre farm in Hampton. In 1900, he was elected to the Provincial Legislature, representing the Liberal party in the First District of Queens. He was re—elected in 1904 and again in 1908, when he became Speaker of the Legislature. He was a worthy representative, a man of
great integrity, unswerving in devotion to his trust. He died on March 1, 1909.
