practising in Kensington and St. Louis respectively; Archibald, Wilfred, Hubert and Joseph V. were farmers; Martina married John MacMiIlan of Edmonton, Alberta, and, along with the last two brothers mentioned, are the only survivors.

Wilfred Gillis, son of Venantius Gillis and Catherine MacLelIan, mar- ried Clara Hickey, daughter of Matthias Hickey and Elizabeth MacDougall. The following family were born to them: Hazelton, who married Irene Hig- gins of Kensington. They had one son who is now Dr. Wilfred (Bunny) and is teaching in Halifax. He married a girl from Halifax, Joy Bryant. They have three sons: Michael, Paul and Shawn; and one daughter, Heather. Irene died when Wilfred was two years old. Hazelton later married Mar- guerite (Peggy) Higgins. Their family consists of three boys, Derry, Greg- ory and Jimmy, all attending university; and two girls, Faye, who is Mrs. Alan Ekholme. They have two boys, Christopher and Timothy. Marina, Mrs. George Myers. They have no family.

Charles died in 1971, unmarried. Bernard married Myrtle Greenan of Kinkora. They both lived and died in Toronto. They had one child, Deborah, who is attending University in Saskatchewan. Bernard had been with the R.C.A.F. in World War II. John married Alma Hussey of St. John, NB. They have three boys: Kevin, Ian, and Charles, all living in Sandwich, Massachusetts.

Elizabeth married Leo Brennan of Darnley, who died in 1939. They had two daughters, Coleen, Mrs. Glen Marsh of Russ and Glen‘s Service Station, Summerside. They have three boys, Kim, David, and Blair; and two girls, Sheila and Katherine. Claire, the other daughter, is married to Joseph Robichaud. They are living at C.F.B., Trenton, Ontario, and have four sons, Michael, Richard, Brian, and Mark.

Catherine married Alfred Higgins of Kensington, who is now de- ceased. They had a family of f0ur boys. Charles works with K-Mart Stores in Toronto, where they now live. David, who attended St. Dunstans Uni- versity, married a nurse in Charlottetown, Barbara McQuaid. They have one child, Chantelle, and are living in Barrie, Ontario, where David is teach- ing. Gary and Eric are attending university. The girls are Diane, Maureen, and Sharon, all attending school. Two girls, Irene and Catherine are de- ceased.

Helen married William Clough of Dorchester, Mass. They have a family of two boys: Billy, along with his wife, is teaching in the Virgin Islands. John is at home. There are four girls, Mary, who is Mrs. Ed Gardiner. They have three boys: Craig. David. and Jimmy: and one girl. Michelle. The other girls are Marguerite, Anne Marie and Catherine. They now live in Mattapan, Mass.

Annie is married to Vincent Lawless of Kinkora. They have a family of five boys: Neville, married to Bertha Roberts, both teachers. They have one child, Joanne. Stanton is in the Canadian West. James, Dale and Kenneth are at home. Three girls, Sheila, a Public Health Nurse in Nova Scotia, and Joanne and Norah at home.

Hubert Gillis, son of Venantius Gillis and Catherine MacLelIan, and Monica MacLelIan, daughter of Roderick S. MacLellan and Mary Ellen Mac- Kinnon, were married at St. Mary’s Church. Indian River The following family were born to them: David Victor who died at five years eleven months.
