Eleanor is married (husband's name not known). They live in B.C. Glenn married Jim Jeffery who was later drowned. They had a family of four girls and one son; Marie, Georgie, Joan, Judy and James. Glenn married John MacLellan of Indian River . They moved to Halifax to live, and have one son Johnnie. Glenn died in 1966. Ruben, single, lives in Ontario . Bruce (deceased) was not married. HICKEY Another immigrant Peter Hickey came to Indian River in 1806 and purchased 100 acres of land in Lower Indian River , now known as the John Gillis place. He later married Catherine MacLellan , only daughter of John and Catherine. They had a family of six sons and four daughters, namely: Angus, Thomas, John, Peter, William, James, Mary, Catherine, Elizabeth, and Bridget. One son, Peter married Catherine MacKenzie and had a fam¬ ily of four sons and three daughters — Alex, Thomas , William, Matthias, Catherine, Theresa, and Mary. Alex — (father of Charles Hickey and grand¬ father of Oswald and Edward) married Ellen Higgins . Thomas and William (unknown). Catherine married David Campbell of Indian River . Theresa married A. Brown of Grand River . Mary married Damien Gillis , . Matthias married Elizabeth MacDougall and they had a family of two sons and two daughters. Namely: Sanctinus, Peter, Anna, and Clara. Sanctinus died young. Anna married Arthur MacLellan and moved to the U.S.A. Clara married Wilfred Gillis and lived in Indian River . Peter married Evelyn MacDonald from Summerside and resided on the homestead. They had a family of seven — John,Elizabeth, Sanctinus, Joseph, Charles, Anna, and Catherine. Elizabeth, Joseph, and Charles are deceased. John and Sanctinus, unmarried, reside on the homestead. Anna married Peter MacDonald , Blooming Point . They have four children — Eugene, Berna- dine, Anita, and Kevin . Catherine married Bruce Jordan and resides in St John, New Brunswick . They have a family of seven — Lorraine, Ken¬ neth, Ronald, Debra, Donna, and twins Jean and Judy. The main occupation of the Hickeys was farming. HICKEYS Another son of Peter and Catherine (MacKenzie) was William, who married Mary MacLellan , and resided on what was later known as the John Gillis ' Farm. They had a family of eight. Namely: Frank, James, Peter, Cecilly, Lucy, Elizabeth, Catherine, and Rose Ann . Frank died young. James married and moved to Summerside . Cecilly, Mrs. Wm .
