—■• MANN William B. with his wife Margaret, children Ethel and Keith, mother ( Mrs. James Mann ) and nephew Elmer, came to Indian River from Irishtown in the year 1915, purchasing a farm from Alban MacLellan . Another nephew Erskme, lived with William and family until he enlisted in World War I. After the war he lived and married in Toronto where he joined the CNR Police. He died in 1967. The following year, 1916, they erected the two-storey house now occupied by Keith. The original house occupied by the MacLellan fam¬ ily, located north of the present dwelling, is used for a woodshed and stor¬ age. Mrs. James Mann passed away in 1922. William was deceased in 1946. Margaret lives across the road from the homestead with her nephew Elmer. Ethel married Victor Inman . They resided in North St. Eleanors for a number of years, moving to Summerside in 1966 where they still live. They have a family of two daughters and one son. Elaine ( Mrs. David Morrison ), resides in Summerside ; Betty ( Mrs. Gordon Simmons ), lives in Kingston Ontario ; Wendell resides in Moncton, N.B. Keith, married to the former Reta Clark , resides on the homestead They have a family of four, Janet, Orville, Kenneth and Denton. Janet mar¬ ried Charles Bryanton . They live in New Annan and have five children, Kevin , Steven, Kenneth, Cathy and Lisa. Orville, married to the former Carol Hunter of Summerside , now resides in Charlottetown . They have two sons, Chad and Ryan. Kenneth married the former Betty Dekker of Sherbrooke and lives in a mobile home near the homestead. They have one son, Jason. Denton, unmarried, lives at home. FRIENDSHIP Why should good words never be said, Of a friend'til he be dead? Why should one who thrills your heart, Lack the joy you might impart.
