SHEA Frank Shea came out from Ireland with his parents as a young boy. He grew up, married and settled in Kensington . He raised a family of four girls and two boys. The daughters were Joanna, Emma, Margaret, Frances; and the sons were George and William. William married Eunice Campbell of Indian River and they lived at the "Black Horse". He raised a family of five boys and four girls. The boys were Joe, Dan, Frank, George and Jack; and the girls were Catherine, Lucy, Minnie and Gertie. Frank moved to Indian River as a young boy and lived with his Aunt Joanna and grandfather Frank Shea . When he grew up, after his grandfather died, he married Agnes Malone , a school teacher who taught in Indian River . They had a family of six, five daughters and one son. Frances married Russell Campbell of Indian River ; they had a family of five, three girls and two boys. Geraldine married Ivan Berrigan of Charlottetown ; they have one boy and two girls. Mary married Aloysius Gaudet ; they have one daughter. Bill is married and lives in Hamilton, Ontario ; they have one child. Louise married Emile Tardiff of Calgary; they have a boy and girl. Eunice is not married; she lives in Toronto and works at the Bell Telephone Co . 1877-SHEEN-1960 James Sheen , son of Matthew and ( Martha MacKay ) Sheen, born at Kensington in 1877. Matthew owned the first farm in Lot 18, east side of , 44 acres, for a number of years. He bought 44 more from Dougald Stewart to farm, only 20 acres cleared, remainder, 80, cleared in 1917. 8 acres wooded land remain. In 1900 James married Mary Amanda Davison daughter of Fredric and Ann Mallett Davison of Burlington . Daughter Mamie was born in 1901; a son died at birth; also a daughter born 1905 died at birth; Anna Louise boms1909. ( Mrs. Sheen died in 1938 and James married Loretta Paynter Moase in 1968, and went to live in Ken¬ sington, P.E.I. ) Mamie completed High School in 1916, attended Prince of Wales College, worked in Bank of Nova Scotia , Kensington, P.E.I. , then cashier and bookeeper at Ruban Tuplin's and Co . in Kensington P.E.I , and T. Eaton office, Moncton, N.B. She married Douglas Profitt of Margate at Edmonton, Al ¬ berta, July 1929, lived at Styal and Edson, Alberta, died in April, 1960. Anna completed High School at Kensington, P.E.I. , attended Prince of Wales College (2nd class teacher). Prince of Wales College Business and Business Law 1926-27. Married Rev. Thomas Humphery June 1932, lived at Bermuda 1932-35 serving of Wesleyan Methodist Church, ( and ) white and negro congregations. 1935- 38 Pictou, , St. Mary's, and Caledonia United Church, Guysborough, , N.S. In 1938 returned to old home (at Mother's death), bought farm from father and farmed until sold land to John Bernard 1960. It was sold again in 1962 to Oliver Paynter and again in 1965 to Everett Champion . Tom Cobb resides on this farm. 78
