Frank Mayhew, after serving in World War II, bought it from Cleveland Somers and had it moved to its present site — a part of the Mayhew farm. There he and his wife, the former Audrey Fraser of Charlottetown, lived for three years, at which time, Heath Mayhew (Frank’s brother) bought it for his son Clair who was in the Royal Canadian Navy. The house was then rented for a year. In 1951 Clair Mayhew and his wife made their home there, where they lived for four years, then traded houses with Clair’s father Heath. Heath, his wife and family lived here until 1968 when they sold the home to Keith Silliker and his wife, the former Diane Mayhew (Heath’s daughter). Their family are: Bryan, Wade and Lisa.
