The Bovyers and Robinsons were United Empire Loyalists and the MacMillans were Selkirk Settlers. In the 1798 census, other families were recorded in Lots 33 and 34 including the MacLures (McLeurs),
MacKinnons and MacDonalds.
Many English families moved into the area including the Carrs, Fosters, Hudsons, Hughes, Bells, Bearistos. The Miseners came from Nova Scotia and the Youlands from Newfoundland. A biographical sketch
