FAMILY OF CORNELIUS HIGGINS OF COVEHEAD Cornelius Higgins of Covehead , Lot 34, is thought to have been a son of David Higgins , who was living at Three Rivers in 1770, when the "Falmouth" arrived. Mr. Drummond mentions him several times. Cornelius Higgins married a daughter of one of the "Falmouth" pass¬ engers, Isabella, daughter of David Lawson , and settled in Covehead for that reason. In April, 1798, his household there consisted of three males under 16, three males aged 16 to 60, one female under 16 and two females aged 16 to 60. The date of his death is unknown. He married Mary Bovyer of Stanhope . ii Cornelius, junior, b. ca. 1780; d. 8 Nov. 1854, aged 74 years; m. Margaret Bovyer (b. in 1792; d. 8 Apr. 1858 ae. 66) of Stanhope . Their gravestones are in the West Covehead Cemetery. She was probably a daughter of Stephen Bovyer of Stanhope , by his wife Margaret Campbell . iii Mary Ann, b. ca. 1782; d. 15 June 1862; m. by Rev. DesBrisay , 31 Jan. 1804, John Douglas (b. ca. 1780; d. 21 May 1854), son of William and Catherine (Millar) Douglas of Hillsborough and grandson of John Millar of Covehead . 87
