BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS Bicentennial celebrations are planned for June 6th and 7th, 1970. lese celebrations are being organized by a bicentennial committee con- .sting of members from Stanhope , West Covehead , and Brackley Point , le Women's Institute of West Covehead called the first meeting which is increased to include Stanhope , where the Women's Institute had ;arted a community history, and Brackley Point where many families, iscended from the first settlers, still live. The celebrations include a concert, Beauty contest, baby contest, id old time step dancing and fiddling contest. On June 6th, parades 11 be held and a cairn erected to commemorate the arrival of the rst settlers will be unveiled.
