About a year and a half ago the collection work for the monument as started and funds raised by public subscription, and by the worthy ef- orts of the Women’s Institutes of Traveller‘s Rest, New Annan and Sher- rooke.
Surely the communities of Traveller's Rest, Wilmont, Sherbrooke and ew Annan have every reason to be proud of their memorial to the heroic ead.
Following the war of 1939-1945 there was a second unveiling at this onument. This time to the memory of four more boys who made the upreme sacrifice in that war. They were: Roy A. Crozier, Alan Read, ames Tuplin, Osborne Lefurgy. The speakers at this time were Lieutenant- overnor J. A. Bernard and Judge Thane A. Campbell.
Each year on Armistice or Remembrance Day, November 11th, the oyal Canadian Legion conducts a Memorial Service, during which time we lace a wreath in honor of these fallen heroes.
It has been the tradition for children to parade from the school and ake part in the service.

ho waits the last clear trumpet-call of God.
