A., - - Live Stock Branch, Poultry Division The Department of Agriculture was organized in the year 1901. The first commissioner was Hon. Benjamin Rogers, who was in office from 1901 to 1904. Then followed Hon. Samuel Reid who was commissioner from 1904 to 1908. Then the Hon. John Richards filled the office from 1908 to 1911. The Hon. Murdoch MacKinnon took office on the 2nd of December, 1911. The Secretaries were Mr. Ewen McMillan, B. S. A., from 1901 to 1904; Mr. John C. Ready, B. S. A., from 1904 to 1906, and Mr. Theodore Ross, B. A. from 1906.
