     HE FIRST VISITOR of note to Prince 
     
     Edward Island was Jacques Cartier in 
     
     1534 and this is what he wrote home:

     beautiful it is possible to see and 
     
     full of beautiful trees and meadows.” 
     
    
   
   
    
     Ever since, visitors to Canada’s Garden 
     
     Province have felt with this world eXplorer,

     EVERYBODY is in duty bound to take a 
     
     vacation each year for healths sake. Tired 
     
     mothers, nerve shattered fathers and growing 
     
     kiddies, all require rest and a change of scenes. 
     
    
   
   
    
     NATURES REMEDIES are admittedly the 
     
     best. Fresh air, light exercise, salt water 
     
     bathing, freedom from worry, good wholesome 
     
     food and deep restful sleep. 
     
    
   
   
    
     FOR FORTY YEARS whole families have 
     
     been coming here each summer, and many 
     
     who began as children now bring their grand

     A THOUSAND MILES of perfect sea beach 
     
     calls to children and adults alike, “Come on in, 
     
     the water’s fine.” 
     
    
   
   
    
     DAY AFTER DAY of sunshine. No fog, no 
     
     torrential rains, only an occasional sun-shower 
     
     to accentuate the health and beauty of all that 
     
     grows. Just what a garden requires to make 
     
     it desirable and attractive. 
     
    
   
   
    
     SEA TROUT FISHING is a featured attrac- 
     
     tion. Over two hundred places contribute their 
     
     quota to days of pleasure in this respect. 
     
    
   
   
    
     GOLF and TENNIS have their devotees 
     
     and many of the summer hotels as well as the 
     
     clubs in the larger centres have ample accom- 
     
     modation for those who care to indulge. 
     
    
   
   
    
     HORSE RACING at one or more of the 
     
     twelve tracks within easy reach, provides a 
     
     matinee of rare interest every Wednesday. 
     
    
   
   
    
     CENTRE OF FOX INDUSTRY Prince Ed- 
     
     ward Island is the world’s centre of the Fox In- 
     
     dustry. It is the home of the Canadian Fox 
     
     Breeders’ Association with members from all of 
     
     Canada and of the Dominion Experimental Fox 
     
     Ranch, where research work is being contin- 
     
     uously carried on for the benefit of the whole 
     
     industry. 
     
    
   
   
    
     WHAT YOU EAT becomes important when 
     
     you have worked up that almost forgotten 
     
     “School boy appetite.” All hotels and board- 
     
     ing farms use milk, cream, butter, cheese and 
     
     beef from Dominion Government inspected 
     
     cattle (as Prince Edward Island is a disease 
     
     free area with respect to bovine tuberculosis). 
     
     Bacon and eggs are also inspected. Fresh fish 
     
     daily is naturally on the bill of fare where rivers 
     
     and streams teem with all kinds of Sea Food. 
     
    
   
   
    
     ECONOMY will feature your budget on a 
     
     vacation with us, but nothing essential is denied. 
     
    
   
   
    
     A KIDDIE KINGDOM is the right of every 
     
     child. Let yours live in a bathing suit at one 
     
     of our beaches, building castles in the sand
