Throughout the years, there have been only two known Post Offices located in Brackley. The 1880 Atlas of P.E.|., indicates that one was located on the property of Thomas Rodd esq. There is no record of any Post Office in the area before that time. The second known Post Office was located on the property of Jerry Jackson in the early years of the 20th century. Since that time Brackley has been on the Charlottetown mail circuit. Recently, it was changed to the Winsloe circuit. The present mail driver is John Holroyd of Winsloe. Before him were: Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Bryenton, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Newsom, and John Newell. It is perhaps a grave mistake not to mention the fact that such a iob requires the labors of two people. In Brackley, the husband would drive one day and his wife would distribute the mail; the next day the roles might be reversed.

This short sketch of early farm life in Brackley has demonstrated that

although life was extremely difficult, these people have had rich and fulfilling lives.
