Linda MacNab youth director for the Prince Edward Island Division of the Red Cross, surrounds herself with happy children at Brackley School. These children have just completed a project entitled Protection of Pets, as a part of their Red Cross Youth group activities. Twenty- three children from grades four to six partidipated in the project. They are the first group of youngsters in Canada to complete such a program. The project is

designed whether they be the owners and caretakers of cats, dogs, birds or other pets, the children can find tips on animal maintenance and welfare in the in- formation provided through this program. Ms. McNab is carrying out this project for Red Cross youth groups and in schools across the Island.
