Little Linguist Landed
With 82 marks this class from Brackley School placed third in the French Chorus Class last week at the Festival. It is hoped that next year there will be more entries in this class. Singing in a foreign language is fun, even if you can’t speak the language and there are scores of simple songs to draw from, not only in French but in other languages. From left to right these contestants are: Front row: Faye Sellick, Donald Jenkins, Eugene Gray, David Jenkins, Jeannie Jenkins. Back row: Verna Lee Ford, Dorothy Proude, Virginia McKay, Hazel Walker, Marie Bryenton, Luella Clark, Bernice Newson, Sheila Roper.
Back in 1955 or there abouts, this picture and caption appeared in the Guardian. Many of these young people are still residents of Brackley
today.
