Fred Roper

Fred is the former owner of Belvedere Service Station. His wife was the late lrma Lund R.N. They had three children: Sheila of Sherwood, Ernest and Donald of Halifax.

Sheila is married to Bill MacMicken and they have two children.

Roland Horne

Roland is married to Mary Reid. He works for the Department of Agriculture as well as running the farm. They have 3 sons: Fred, Paul and

Steven.

Fred is married to Mary Burke. He works on Historian Research Projects and she works at Confederation Centre Art Gallery.

Paul works on the home farm.

Steven is working on the farm in partnership with his father having a well established Dairy farm.

Katherine Cudmore Horne, widow of the late Fred Horne lives in her apartment in part of Roland’s home.

Fred Home was a well known farmer and carpenter in the community until his death.

Charles Chandler

Charles is married to Alice (Bagnall) Chandler the president of the Women’s Institute in Brackley. Mr. Chandler is a Material Management Procurement Clerk in Public Works with the Federal Government.

Alice runs a hair-dressing business in Hunter River and also looks after their motel in Stanhope. They have three children: Karen 19, Pamela l7, and Dwight 13.

Donald McGuigan

Donald is married to the former Elaine Cameron. Donald is employed with Kays Bros. Elaine is employed with the Charlottetown Hospital. They have one child, Lisa Dawn 2 years.

Harold Stead

Harold is a retired farmer but still maintains a great interest in horses. He is married to the former Ruth Phillips. They have three children; Stirling, married to Dorothy Gillespie in Hamilton, Ontario.

Sydney, married to Betty MacMillan. They have four children.

Wallace is now deceased, but he and his wife Jessica Heron had six

children.
