was finished on the interior, compete with kitchen facilities and wash- rooms. The Women’s Guild was started in 1975, and make excellent use of the new basement. They hold various church suppers throughout the year and cater to weddings. The Senior Citizen’s Club also use the basement to hold their meetings. The Women’s Missionary Society, which was founded in 1880, is also active in the church. There are senior, youth, and junior group choirs active and the youth groups have remained active through the years.
The first organist at St. Andrew’s was Maggie Stewart. Others who served as St. Andrew’s Church organists were Delli Scrimgeour, Mae Shaw, Sterling MacLeod and Helen Martin.
