INTRODUCTION In this paper I plan to sketch the history of East Point from its French settlement in 1719 to the year 1919. The only history of East Point previously attempted was a six hundred word sketch in the Historical Sketch of . I hope to fill at least part of this vacuum. LI hope the reader is not to bored! I found this report ex¬ tremely interesting. Hov/ever for someone unacquainted with the area it may: be tedious because the paper does not flow "swimmingly'/)I hope the reader can catch something of the special character of "The Point."
