affairs. Frank served as a trustee and chairman of the Freetown School District No. 74. He also was involved in the Dunk River Farmer’s Institute. He was an active sportsman and was anchor man on several Freetown tug of war teams. Frank and Lou attended the Freetown Methodist (now United) church. She was organist at this Church for around thirty years and participated in many church activities. She was keenly interested in gardening and was noted for her beautiful flowers which she exhibited at many flower shows.
Frank collapsed at an auction sale in Kelvin Grove on the farm of James Murphy. He died the same evening 15 Nov. 1950 at the Prince County Hospital in Summerside. Lou moved to Charlottetown after her husband’s death and resided on Wendy Drive. She remained active in church work and was involved in the creation of Spring Park United Church. She d. at Charlottetown on 11 Feb. 1977.
The had four children, surname Deacon, all born at Upper Freetown.
3a 2g Grace Eileen b. 15 May 1912. She attended the local school and Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown. After college graduation she taught school in various schools including her home school. On 21 Dec. 1940 she m. John [Dwell (Jack) Hickox, the son of William Franklin and Catherine - (MacLeod) Hickox. He was b. 22 May 1910 at Springfield. Jack farmed at Springfield and was foreman of several road maintenance crews for the Department of Highways. They both attend The Church
of Christ at Breadalbane. They have no children and currently reside at Springfield.
3b 2g Frank Morris b. 2 Feb. 1915. Morris attended the local school and Prince of Wales College, Charlottetown. He then taught school for five years, including his home school at Freetown. Morris was sports minded and played hockey with the Freetown Royals. Morris enlisted during World War II and served as a wireless operator. He m. on 4 Oct. 1945, Beatrice May Smith, daughter of Walter and Elizabeth (Robson) Smith. She was b. 4 Aug. 1916 at Halifax, N.S.
In 1949 Morris graduated from MacDonald College, McGill University with a B.Sc. in Agriculture. He was employed with the RBI. Dept. ongriculture as an Agricultural Fieldman until 1955. In 1955 he joined the Public Service Commission of Canada as personnel administrator in Halifax. More recently he served as personnel officer with the Federal Ministry of Transport from 1972 until his retirement. They currently reside at Dartmouth where Morris is active in the Woodlawn United Church. They have no children.

Allison was b. 28 Apr. 1924 at Freetown. Allison attended the district school and at an early age developed an ambition to be a medical doctor. He pursued his education at Prince of Wales College in Charlottetown and then Medical School at Dalhousie University in Halifax, N.S. Allison was sports minded and played on a junior hockey team from Kensington which competed for the Ralston Cup in Nova Scotia. He also played for the local Freetown Royals, a Prince of Wales College team and Dalhousie Medical team.
Allison m. Muriel Emily Frizzell, daughter of Hilbert and Louise (Younker) Frizzell, of Parkdale. In 1948, he graduated from Dalhousie Medical School with his degree in Medicine, M.D., CM. and began his medical practice in Shediac, New Brunswick. After leaving Shediac, he practised medicine in Red Rock, Ont. then later taking one year’s training in Psychiatry at a Mental Hospital in North Battleford, Sask. In 1957, he became Administrator at Hillsborough Hospital, Charlottetown until the time of his death on 28 May 1964.
Muriel has had several secretarial positions. She lives in Parkdale. She m. 2. Allison MacEwen and m. 3. Gordon Bennett. Children:

4c 3ng Edith Carol b. 4 Dec. 1950 m. Gary Craswell, They have three ch. 1. Krista, 2. Nicolas, 3. Brody.
4d 3d2g Barbara Joan b. 20 Apr. 1952. She m. Gary Currie, son of Charles Currie, Sherwood and are separated.
