W . w. Sullivan, Premier in the Legislature April 15, 1887, summarized in Examiner, April 16, 1887. Also contained in Mr. Sullivan 's remarks was the statement th.it P.E. I, now had 430 schools, and 498 teachers. Mr. Sullivan 's proposed amendment to the school act would have had the scholarships to P.W.C and Normal Schoold altogether eliminated; but his amendment failed and insteas the time of the scholarship was reduced from five to four months, cf.
