Morley Sabine Acorn and his friend “Boss.” 1870-1936

Morley Acorn, son ofCharles and Caroline (Sabine) Acorn entered the photography business full-time about 1914 in a studio on the north side of Main Street. Later, in 1926, he moved into the Leard Building across the street. Here he also operated a Novelty Shop and sold gasoline for both Imperial Oil and Irving Oil

He was a member of the Souris Band and delighted many community concerts with his fine bass voice. He married Gussie. a daughter of Dr. EB. Muttart‘ When he died in 1936. he was Mayor of the Town.
