1860. He was educated in Mount Stewart School and Prince of Wales College. He was a graduate in Arts of Dalhousie University ( B.A .) and of Princeton University ( M.A .). He took his theological training at Princeton Theological Seminary, N.J. , graduating in 1888. He was here for a year in 1915-16. ... He served the Church faithfully and successfully in the Maritime Provinces, Newfoundland and . (Maritime Conference Minutes, 1937). He died in Vancouver in July, 1936. The Rev. Thomas Wilson , D.D . 1917-1953 The Rev. Thomas Wilson was born in Waverley , N.S . on February 10, 1878, son of Mr. and Mrs. B.C. Wilson ( Helen Pullen ). He received his early education at the Halifax Academy , and graduated from McGill University and the Presbyterian Theological College, Halifax. He was ordained by the P.E.I. Presbytery on June 26, 1913 at Tyne Valley , where he served four years, coming in 1917 to West Covehead , where he served until he retired in 1953. On April 22, 1959 Divinity Hall bestowed on Mr. Wilson the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity. He was married to Louella Temple of Waverly, N.S. , who predeceased him in 1937. On his retirement a tablet was erected in St. James' United Church, West Covehead , to commemorate his outstanding service and leadership to that congregation. Dr. Wilson died in the Livingston-MacArthur Nursing Home in Charlottetown on February 21, 1966, leaving his daughter, Margaret Helen and son, Eric Temple . The Rev. Norman Green 1953-1956 The Rev. Norman Green was inducted to this charge in 1953, and moved to Montrose, P.E.I , in 1956. He retired in 1977, after serving the Church for 24 years. He died, aged 72, in Sussex Corner, N.B. on March 10, 1981, leaving his wife, the former Doris Flann , and children Raulston, David, Russell and Isabel. The Rev. William H . Forsyth 1956-1959 The Rev. William H . Forsyth was born in Sheffield Mills, N.S. in September 1896 and was educated at King's County Academy , Dalhousie University, ( B.A .) and Pine Hill Divinity College, Halifax. He was ordained on September 3, 1925 at the first Maritime Con?? ference of the United Church of Canada and is presently the only survivor of that year's ordinands. He served in N.S . ( Jordan Ferry , Sandy Cove and ) and was inducted here in 1956, moving to Canterbury, N.B. in 1959. He was married to Mary Cochrane and they have three children: Florence, James and Mary. 81
