An addition. measuring 12 by 28 feet, was built onto the back of the garage in 1948; and in 1952 Clifford Shaw and Reuben MacDonald constructed the present building, 40 by 48 feet in size. In the early 1960s the lot round the garage was paved and new lights installed. Shell Canada bought out Canadian Oil Co. in 1965, so the pumps were changed to Shell, which company still supplies them.
