The first All Round Cord given by the 1st Girl Guide Company was presented to Jennifer Power of Stanhope in 1983. This is the highest award a Girl Guide can earn. Pathfinders The 1st Pathfinders were organised in October, 1982 for girls 12-15 years of age by Heather Cole ( Mrs. William ) and Sandra Mclnnis ( Mrs. John ). There were 12 girls registered. In the fall of 1983 the Pathfinders were led by Doreen Riley ( Mrs. Frank ). ?? finders have since been discontinued, because of lack of interest by the girls. In June 1983 the 1st Brownie Pack, Girl Guide Company and Pathfinders were requested to send several girls to act as route liners for the royal visit of Prince Charles and Lady Diana , the Prince and Princess of Wales .
