William Schurman of Bedeque, Esqr, bought two lots in Charlottetown for 330 pounds: lot no. 4 in the first hundred, and lot no. 360 of 12 acres in the Royalty of Charlottetown. [The first is on the present Water St., near the Charlottetown Hospital; the second is by the present Thistle Drive off the Brackley Point Road, Sherwood]

William Schureman Esqr of Bedeque sold a lot (no acreage given) in Lot 19 to John Lefurgey for 20 pounds. [This is the 50 acre lot he was granted in 1800 at the part of Wilmot (Summerside East) called Read’s Corner]

William Schurman of Bedeque exchanged a 100 acre lot in Lot 25 for another 100 acre lot there. [William gave 100 acres on Schurman’s Point, North Bedeque, shown as the Thomas Hacker property in the 1880 atlas; the 100 acres he received is not described in the deed]

William Schureman and George Mabey were granted a town lot in Charlottetown, no. 4 in the first hundred. [This is the date of the grant, two years after William’s death. William had bought Mabey’s share in 1812 and in 1819 willed the lot to his grand-daughter Hannah Baker.]

Executors of William Schurman of Bedeque sold 233 acres in Lot 26 for 150 pounds to John Maxfield. [This is on the Taylor Road, North Bedeque, the farms occupied today by Brewer Waugh and Ira Crozier.]

Executors of William Schureman of Bedeque, farmer, sold 200 acres in Lot 25 to Isaac Schureman of Bedeque, farmer, for 100 pounds, being the property bequeathed Isaac by William’s will. [The Robert Hogg farm, Wilmot Valley.]

Executors of William Schurman sold 4280 acres in Lot 25 to William Clark of Bedeque for 700 pounds. [The sawmill property in Wilmot Valley, Kelvin Grove, and Norboro. In the deed there is mention of a bridge “commonly called Schurman’s Bridge” — over the Wilmot River, near the present Wilmot Valley schoolhouse]

Executors of William Schurman sold 46 acres in Lot 25 for 40 pounds. [On the west side of the main road through North Bedeque, the lot attributed to Jesse Wright in the 1880 atlas]
