their daughters and daughters-in-law have carried on the work of the socie- ty. One senior member, still active today, is Mrs. Earle Huestis, who also has the support of her daughter-in-law as together they continue to follow the aims and objectives of this worthwhile organization.
The United Baptist Women’s Missionary Society of Wilmot Valley has passed its fifty-fifth birthday. It is still flourishing and the members are looking forward to many more years of service in the cause of missions.
UNITED CHURCH WOMEN, WILMOT VALLEY
In January, 1933 the young ladies of Wilmot Valley who were members of North Bedeque United Church decided to form a group to better carry out the work of their church. The group was organized by Mrs. Clark MacQuarrie. It was named the Flora Toombs Mission Circle in honor of Mrs. Hammond Toombs, Kensington, who was President of the Prince Edward Island Presbyterial at that time. The charter members were: Mrs. Darius Hogg, Mrs. Hubert Agnew, Mrs. Lyman Huestis Sr., Mrs. Floyd Caseley, Mrs. Darrell Picketts, Miss Lillian Sobey and Mrs. Albert Clark. Others who joined later were Mrs. Samuel Beaton, Mrs. Earl Hogg, Mrs. Kenneth Clark, Mrs. George Hogg, Mrs. Edgar Millar and Mrs. Denzil Hogg,
