LIONS FOR THOMAS, GODSON

1 If I had a cat who went outside

I’d call him Colin the Cat

Then when someone told me to call in the c_at I wouldn’t have to because he would hear anyway and walk in the door What do you think of that? 2 Sometimes when I’m lonely and have nothing at all I look at the pink and green and yellow and purple and blue map on my wall and stick a tack in see right There and that’s Me 3 Last night I took my treehouse down and from it made a raft so the next time someone laughed at me my raft and I shall go to sea I have all of my provisions: some cashews in a paper and some olives in a bottle and a sleepingbag that’s sort of rolled and the chocolate milk I brought’ll be alright if I tie it to a string and let it stay below the water where it’s cold

Maybe if I’m a lucky thing someone will love the gifts I bring
