lives in Wilmot Valley.

Elmer married Jennie Milligan (Jan. 21, 1937), daughter of George and Ada (Murphy) Milligan of Tyne Valley. Elmer farmed with Roy until 1978 when the land was sold to Eldred Simmons. Also, in 1978, Elmer and Jennie had a new home built just west of Roy’s house and east of Elmer’s former house. They also have a lovely view of the harbour. Elmer and Jennie have a family of three: Tammy Lee married Robert Waugh of North Bedeque and they have two daughters, Tara Rachelle, and Patricia Jennie. Kevin Roy (Nov. 8, 1960) lives at home and Charles Foster (Sept. 21, 1964) attends school.

FORBES

The cozy home on the south side of the Blueshank, as one rounds the mouth of the river, is the home of Cecil and Lulu Forbes. Wilfred Cecil (Feb. 25, 1897) was the son of Donald Nicholson and Mary Jane (Yeo) Forbes of Tyne Valley. He married Sadie Lulu MacLean (Sept. 19, 1899), daughter of Alexander R. and Lillian (Miller) MacLean of Southwest Lot 16. Cecil and Lulu first farmed in Tyne Valley, then moved to the eastern boundary of Wilmot Valley, where Douglas Webster lives (1979). During the 1940’s Mr. Forbes became a lay-preacher with the United Church of Canada. He left the farm and held many charges throughout the Maritimes before retiring here. Some people might be content to admire the view from the Forbes’ window but Cecil and Lulu are always busy. Cecil continues to help with visitation for Trinity United Church in Summerside. They had a family of seven:

Lillian Edith (March 22, 1920) married Charles Yeo in June, 1940. They live in St. Eleanor’s and have two boys, Ralph Milton and Bruce Arnold.

Helen Isabella (Apr. 16, 1921) married Wilfred Lyle (Nov. 13, 1913) in 1940. They live in Lot 16 and have two children, Darrell and Grace.

Sydney Bonnell (July 19, 1922-Oct. 1, 1967) married Doris Horne (Apr. 8, 1921) on April 22, 1940. Sydney lost his life at sea, near Point Prim. Sydney and Doris had four children: Kendall, Hal, Barbara Jean and Alexander.

Mary Jane (Nov. 7, 1928) married Douglas Webster on Nov. 2, 1946. They live in Kelvin Grove. They had five children: Marvyn, Barry, David,

Brenda and Nelda.

Barbara Jean (March 1, 1931) married Ted Mitchell and they live in Mississauga, Ontario. Their children are Leslie Ann and David Bruce.
