Robert Prescott (Oct. 19, 1916) married Winnifred Elisabeth Waugh of Wilmot Valley on Nov. 17, 1943. Bob farmed in Wilmot and is now an auctioneer.
Walter Stephen (Feb. 27, 1918—1977) married Gladys Weeks. Walter served in the Second World War, and later re-enlisted in the R.C.A.F. Following his discharge he worked with the Department of Transport in Ontario. Walter and Gladys had three children: Stephen Douglas, Paul Robert and Sandra Lillian Lolita. (See Veterans).
Wilbur Cecil died at five months of age.
One infant was stillborn.
George married Helen Lillian Small (Aug. 16, 1924) on Sept. 22, 1948. Helen is the daughter of the late George Alfred and May Frances (Compton) Small of Wilmot. Helen received her R.N. from Prince County Hospital in 1945.
George served with the R.C.A.F. from 1941 to 1945 and in 1946 bought his father’s home-farm. In 1948 he bought his father’s land in “Klondike” as well. Helen is very active and supportive in community affairs and the district could always count on her home being open to host a shower or “time.” The school-children also could depend on her to send a really special treat to the school parties. George served as a school trustee for several years. George and Helen had three children:
Marilyn Juanita (July 25, 1950) received her B.N. and B.Ed. from the University of New Brunswick and works in Scarborough, Ontario. She married Anthony Devine (Nov. 29, 1944), son of Myles and Mary (Brown) Devine of Toronto. He has a sign—printing business.
Judith Claudette (.lune 13, 1953) married Terence Waite on Aug. 31, 1974. Judith is a clerk-typist at Prince County Hospital and Terry is a refrigeration technician. Their daughter is Kelly Diane. Judith and Terry are constructing a new home near George's home ( 1979).
John George (May 19, 1958) farms at home.
GALLANT
Clarence Joseph Gallant (April 3, 1933) son of Avis and Agatha (Thompson) Gallant of Cape Egmont, married Eunice Mary Gallant (Nov. 13, 1939), daughter of Eddie and Mary Louisa (Arsenault) Gallant. Clarence worked at George Hogg's farm for five years and lived in George’s apartment. In September of 1963 they left the community and Clarence began working at the air-force base. Clarence and Eunice have a home in Cape Egmont and their children are Daniel Joseph (1961) and John Paul (1965).
