WAUGH
Archibald Waugh farmed in Wilmot Valley in 1861 but moved prior to 1880. The deed for his farm is registered in 1868, and he bought the land from the proprietor, Jonathan Weatherbie. Archibald, probably from Read's Corner, was a witness to the will of Alexander Waugh, (John’s father) of Wilmot, in 1837. (See Lake’s Topographical Map of 1863.)

Joseph Peter (March 17, 1870-June 4, 1950) married Jane Tompkins Schur— man, (Oct. 22, 1870-Jan. 17, 1932). They lived in Augustine Cove and then at Ross’s Corner. Peter was a blacksmith. He and Jane had six
